I am a 2005 graduate from Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor of Science in Commercial Art. While at PCC I gained an excellent foundation in art under the study of excellent teachers such as the fine artist Brian Jekel. While at College I did an internship for A Beka Book where I had the privilege of having my illustrations published in the book Open Skies.
Since college I have occasionally taught art to school age children between raising my own three beautiful kids. After a few years of little painting I picked up the brushes again and rediscovered my passion. I have been working hard at improving my own skills studying the works and techniques used by great artists from today and the past. I believe a truly great artist can provoke the emotions of the viewer with their work. Portraiture should be more than a copy of a photo it should portray the character, personality, and emotion of the subject, this is what I strive for in my own work.
